Wool and cashmere can shrink or felt when washed incorrectly. Our dry cleaning process safely cleans sweaters, shawls, and pashmina while preserving their softness, shape, and natural fibres. We also recommend cleaning woollens before seasonal storage.
The single most under-cleaned item in most homes, and in Kolkata the worst offender, road dust, construction dust and pollution accumulate in the fabric until the curtain is functioning as an air filter you never change. Long drops shrink if wet-washed; solvent cleaning holds the dimension. ₹600.

Can you dry clean a silk saree?
Yes, it's a significant share of our work. Baluchari, Garad, Banarasi, Kanjivaram, Tussar, Jamdani and Tant are all handled regularly. Zari work is finished by hand without direct iron contact. ₹350, or ₹540 including polish.
How often should I dry clean my clothes?
Less often than most people think. Dry clean when a garment is soiled, stained, or has absorbed odour and not on a schedule. Every clean is mechanical and chemical stress on the fibre, so over-cleaning shortens a garment's life. For suits and blazers, roughly every 4–6 wears, or sooner if stained. For silk sarees, after each wear if you've perspired in it, sweat is invisible on day one and permanent brown by month six. Between cleans, air the garment and spot-treat.
What can I do to prepare my clothes for dry cleaning?
Empty every pocket. Remove detachable belts, brooches and jewellery. Point out stains and tell us what caused them if you know, because the treatment for tea and the treatment for ghee are opposites and we'd rather not guess. Don't try to pre-treat it yourself: household stain removers and hot water set more stains than they remove.
Can old stains be removed?
Sometimes. Fresh stains are far more removable than set ones, and the difference is often days rather than months. Anything that has been through a hot wash or an iron is usually permanent. Send us a photo and we'll give you an honest assessment before you commit.
Is dry cleaning safe for delicate fabrics?
For most delicates, it is safer than washing, that's the entire reason it exists. Water swells and relaxes natural fibres, which is what causes shrinkage, felting and loss of lustre. Solvent doesn't. The risk in dry cleaning isn't the solvent, it's poor judgement about the garment.
What is dry cleaning, actually?
Cleaning with a liquid solvent rather than water. The solvent dissolves oil, grease and body soil without swelling the fibre, so structure, shape and colour hold. "Dry" refers to the absence of water, not the absence of liquid.
